Activities that high-performers go for to reach new levels

High performers are not couch potatoes. They know that their body and mind need movement to be able to perform at a high level.

But they do not only focus on sport and fitness activities.

They employ active recovery practices to enable the parasympathetic nervous system to perform the maintenance processes,

The most effective active recovery practices:

  1. sleep

  2. hot therapy - hot baths with essential oils or salts, sauna, steam bath

  3. cold therapy - cold shower, cryotherapy, ice baths

  4. sensory depriving tanks (floatation or isolation tanks)

  5. nature immersion

  6. massage, myofascial release practice

  7. yoga, Nidra yoga

  8. stretching

  9. high focus sports - tai chi, archery, golf, climbing

  10. breathwork

  11. meditation and mindfulness

  12. laughing

Which ones could you do more of immediately?
